Booking agreement

Terms & conditions

These terms cover every booking made through Book Bahamas. Book Bahamas is the platform you book on; the ride itself is run by the licensed operator named on your booking.

Updated 1 Jul 2026 Version 2.1
The short version

Ride sober, wear the life jacket, follow your instructor, and cancel more than 48 hours ahead for a full refund. Everything below is the detail.

01

Booking and confirmation

A booking is a request until the operator confirms it. Every booking is subject to availability and to confirmation by the operator running the activity.

Once confirmed you receive a booking reference and a check-in code. Bring the code to the marina — it is what the operator scans to release your vessel.

Your meeting point and assigned instructor are shared at least 12 hours before your slot.

02

Prices and payment

Prices are quoted per package, for the whole vessel — not per rider. Adding a second rider to a jet ski does not change the package price.

The total shown before you pay is the total you pay. It includes VAT, the booking fee and any add-ons you selected. Payment is taken in full at the time of booking.

  • Add-ons such as cameras or photo packages are priced separately and shown as their own line.
  • An instructor is always free of charge.
  • Fuel, life jackets and safety gear are included in every package.
03

Who can ride

The lead rider must be at least 18. Riders aged 16 and 17 may ride with a guardian's written consent and an instructor on board. Under-16s may ride as passengers only.

Operators may refuse participation if a rider appears unfit or unsafe to ride, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or does not meet the vessel's weight limits. A refusal on these grounds is treated as a late cancellation and is not refunded.

Tell the operator in advance about pregnancy, recent surgery, back or neck injuries, or heart conditions. Some rides will not be suitable.

04

Identity checks

Every lead rider is verified once. You upload a passport, driving licence or national ID during booking and present the same document at check-in.

Documents are stored encrypted, used only to verify you and to meet Bahamian maritime rules, and never shared with operators beyond the name and confirmation that the check passed. You can remove a saved ID at any time from your profile.

05

Instructors and safety

Every package includes a safety briefing before you go out. Attendance is compulsory — riders who skip the briefing do not ride, and that counts as a no-show.

An instructor is free on any booking. If you request one, they occupy a seat on the vessel, so the rider count adjusts accordingly.

Life jackets are provided and must be worn at all times on the water. Instructions from your instructor or the operator's crew are to be followed without exception.

06

Conduct on the water

Stay inside the marked riding zone, keep clear of swimmers, moored boats and marine life, and observe posted speed limits near shore.

An operator may end a ride early, without refund, if a rider leaves the zone, rides dangerously, or ignores crew instructions.

You are responsible for damage caused by deliberate misuse or by riding outside the agreed zone, up to the excess stated by the operator.

07

Weather and sea conditions

Rides may be delayed, shortened, rescheduled or cancelled when sea conditions are unsafe. The operator's judgement on conditions is final.

If an operator cancels for weather, you choose a full refund or a free reschedule. If a ride is cut short after it starts, the operator refunds the unused time on a pro-rata basis.

08

Cancellations and refunds

Cancel more than 48 hours before your slot for a full refund. Between 24 and 48 hours a fee of up to 50% may apply. Inside 24 hours, and for no-shows, bookings are not refunded.

Refunds return to the card you paid with, usually within 3 to 7 business days.

09

Liability

Book Bahamas is a booking platform. The operator named on your booking delivers the service and is responsible for the vessel, the crew and the conduct of the ride.

Water sports carry inherent risk. By riding you accept that risk and confirm the health and eligibility declarations you made at booking are accurate.

Operators carry third-party insurance for the activity. Personal belongings taken on the water are not covered — leave valuables in the marina lockers.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Bahamian law.

10

Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the service changes. The version that applies to your booking is the one published when you paid, and it is attached to your receipt.

Material changes are announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect.
